Routing Velocity data of MIDI Notes to VSTs/non-ITB plugs?

Hey y'all...

Just wondering if I could route the velocity data of MIDI notes to a filter like QuadFrohmage? I know you can do all sorts of Velocity wizardry within Sampler and Simpler, but I wanted to use something other than the native Auto Filter for this approach if at all possible. Thanks!

I suppose you could do this in MaxForLive or maybe Plogue Bidel using loopback ports. The trick is you would need to convert the velocity data to continuous controller data, Then the CC data can be mapped to the relevant control in your Filter plugin. Not a simple task but possible.
