Static sounding clicks

Hi, can anybody help me, I have just bought a copy of Live 8 Lite and a Launchpad controller. I have just done a couple of recordings and the Launchpad seems to causing intermittent static sounding high pitch clicks. Is there something wrong with the device, or has anybody else come across this? P.s. it stops when I de activate it.
