I've got a MOTU 828mk3. Since I installed Lion and the latest motu drivers the system volume knob, and as a result the apple remote, now control the main outs volume! Very useful since my audio set-up is usually my listening/party set-up too!
Thought I'd let you guys know in case you're wondering whether to install and if there were any noticeable differences. Dunno whether it was Lion or the MOTU drivers (I'm guessing the motu drivers, but don't know).

Good to know. I have the main volume set to a very low level and guess by default Lion will set that to max... and then... bust the speakers with the start sound
