Track selection APC40

Post by p00dle » Sat Sep 17, 2011 3:43 pm

When you use the apc40 for djing you often change between two channels.
But when the clips are on different scenes the track selection buttons highlights the track on the same scene as previously...
is there any way to make the highlight the playing clip on that channel. I'll try to make an example so it becomes clearer...

Say i play clip A (Scene 1, Channel 1) then i launch clip B (scene 2, Channel 2)
When i then use the track selection buttons to highlight channel 1 the marker sits on scene 2, since it moved there after launching clip B.

Is there any way to make it automaticly highlighting the playing clip on the channel???

If you don't mind doing a little mapping. I think you can map the track status bar and that would do the trick. Hmmm might be fun to map the record monitor button to it. Red for.. danger or something. The track status bar is the one that shows how a clip is looping or how much time is remaining.

That's exactly what Isotonik Lite does, it lights up the clip buttons when a clip is playing in a track, when you press and hold a track select button it jumps to the waveform of the playing clip in that track, and holding clip/track and using a clip launch button jumps to the waveform of a clip in the red rectangle without launching it...

I'm thinking though that you could nidi map to the pie chart that appears when the clip is playing but you'd then be restricted to 8 tracks...

Cheers
