Why is CC32 missing from the "envelopp" section in clips ?

Post by erikomic » Mon Sep 19, 2011 8:48 am

Hey eveyone.
I've been mapping my novation MkII to lot of things in ableton.
I've mapped a slider to CC32 but it's missing in the "automation box" in the clip enveloppe section ?
Uh ? 8O

Is this a bug  or a specific purpose ? :?:

Well, if anyone as a clue ?

And plus, if you'd be so kind to tell if there is a way to control those "automation" into the timeline view (not just on the clip)

In advance many ThanXX!

Yea. Technically a patch change is a three part event -

CC#0 - Most Significant Bit (MSB)
CC#32 - Least Significant Bit (LSB)
PC - Program Change

This is mostly to allow for bank select at the same time as patch select. But I think that 99% of the time CC#32 is set to 0 unless you are accessing bank number 20,000 or something.

hey thanx guys for the highlighting explanations :)

so I guess if i want to map things logically 8 by 8 (as in most machines)

1-8
9-16
17-24
25-33
then skip this motherfreaking cc32
and continue
34-41
42-49
50-57...
this is weird... but hey why not
or are there any other surprises ?
