Right after 18 months of using ableton it has decided to fuck up and my projects are falling out of time all over the place. I have always used complex routing solutions but suddenly now, even with 10 audio channels (albeit full stems) and a few plugs ins, it's drifting all over the place and makes it unworkable.
Do we know why this might have occurred I have changed a few settings recently, but nothing more than how the solo works, nothing fundamental to the soundcard, except a new firewire cable.
I have read as much as i can from this forum, i've avoided master channel plug ins and grouping, but it's still happening. Are there any workarounds i'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
This timing (delay compensation bug) in Live
Re: This timing (delay compensation bug) in Live
Find an answer yet? I have the same problem, Im using Lion, I thought maybe Lion was the problem.. One thing thats going completely crazy is the delay compensation changes radically during a live event at which I am playing synths through reason with absynth plugin in ableton running through izotope 4. First I have immediate response, and then as we go through a few songs, Im starting to get a 2 second delay, then 4, then I am having to try to play notes before they happen to compensate for the delay compensation going haywire. But when it gets to 10 seconds, I start having BIG problems. So what I did temporarily that seems to solve the problem so far, is set the channels going to reason to a delay compensation of -947, or just some crazy number before I start going crazy. Now all of a sudden, problem is gone, but will see again this weekend. I can even multitrack record now, when before that also was stuck on some endless delay and wouldn't even start before I force closed Live. I couldn't wait for whatever he hang up was.
