Hi all,
I've been looking around for a method of converting an audio sample to MIDI notes. I've installed MidiYoke and have MidiAudiotoCC as from the little bit of information I've been able to find this should be able to be setup under Live 8 to do the conversion.
I'm not exactly sure how to set this up. I have my audio sample in one channel routed to MIDI Audio to CC, and that channel going to MidiYoke, but I'm not sure how to actually view, or start recording, the notes. I'm using this video as a reference: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWxHzd_PsDE
Can anyone provide a bit more detail to point me in the right direction? Many thanks for any help.
Using MidiYoke w/ MIDIAudioToCC to convert to MIDI notes?

i have this set up here. works great.
i use the IAC on mac, but i assume midiyoke does the same thing so...
you need 2 tracks - 1 audio, 1 midi.
audio track: has the midiAudioToCC plugin
midi track: nothing on it, routing as per the pic
(where it says IAC, yours will be Midiyoke i guess)

group the 2 tracks, name the group, and drag into your templates folder in the browser so you can drag it into any project.
if you want to mute the source audio and just get the modulation, turn off the group track (the yellow '1' square).

oh wait - you want midi NOTES ? the vid you linked to converts the audio signal into cc modulation, not notes.
this plugin can't help you with that. you need something like melodyne's direct note access function for that.
