Could anyone give me the correct settings to make my vocals sound real clear in live?
Thanks

As more knowledgeable people will tell you: there is no single correct setting.
Start with a good microphone/preamp and soundcard to get a proper level signal into Live (the audiowaves should at least be visible in a recorded clip).
Then it is a matter of dialing in the vocalamp and equalizer in the plugin you use. Especially EQ is important: try to cut/boost different frequencybands to shape the sound.
Good luck

Quick tips:
1. Eq is the first way to go, try to cut frequencies that may even seem absurd
2. Compression: long attack with short release. Makes the vocal come out buy compressing the middle of the vocal.
3. Some delay
4. Some reverb
Try different settings.

i made a chain with eq, then compression, then reverb and saved it...each vocal has to be mixed to taste depending on the recording, and the track you are trying to fit it onto..thats a good place to start though....

how do you mean? you hear the mic-input when you stop playing back a clip?
if you disarm the track (record-disable) the input from the mic will not be heard.

Dude, for the time being, you can invest in a cheap mic, (Shure SM58 or comparable..)
You will notice a big change in your posting problems.. What you are experiencing is low quality of the built in.
You can sit there and eq until the cows come home but the bottom line is the mic. JMO

go into the sound settings of your comp...make sure the 'mic boost' is off...also try to rec at a very low level and bring it up as needed..
try audacity or some other free program for some sound reduction, then follow the advice above...maybe about the best you can do....

an inbuilt mic will not give an acceptable noiselevel, like said you can try eq-ing.
