realizing my mixes would be mono front of house for a lot of places I decided to put a mono plugin on my master that I would also be using to monitor.
I use stereo delays on my gtr and voice etc and It sounded VERY thin with the bounces left and right at a much less apparent volume than those sounds simply being in the center at the same perceived volume, making keeping time to some sounds much harder.
Ive read a little about phase cancellation etc. Is this the problem I am hearing, is there a simple solution to this?
eg. I want to leave my tracks as they are in stereo for rehearsal (as it sounds huge with backing tracks in stereo and voice with a stereo reverb on it) and final mix downs and just make what ever changes are needed down the line for live when needed.
cheers
