Okay, so I recently left Serato ITCH, because my NS6 broke. And I want to be able to make mash-ups or just play songs and stuff. So some friends of mine recommended I get an APC40 and ableton live. But I really don't wanna waste a lot of money. So I went to a place called Zzounds. They have a "pay as you play program". And I want to get the Ableton Live 8 Upgrade along with the APC40 so I can use everything straight out of the package I get. The only problem is which upgrade do I get? I thought it would be the New Version 8.0 Upgrade From Live Lite. The links can be found here: PLEASE HELP

You need the full version if you've never owned Ableton software before, which looks to be priced at $399.00 right now. That's a good deal. The $399 price occasionally pops up, but it will likely go back up to $499 soon. You'll be able to upgrade to Suite and other versions -should you decide to do so in the future- directly from Ableton at a better price.
I'd also look into the smaller, more affordable, APC20.
Personally, it's just the right size for my needs and I wouldn't want anything bigger.

^I think you might be right. I just remembered the APC controllers come with a special version of Ableton, so an upgrade from that software might be your best opition.
Just to be safe, I would contact Ableton's support to make sure the upgrade from Live Lite offered via zzounds will work with the Live Lite software that comes with the APC.. and also find out if that upgrade includes EIC2, like the full boxed version does.
