i am having trouble w audio latency.
i am sending midi to an external synth, and sending the synth audio back into ableton, with the monitor input on.
however, the synth signal is coming back super late. there is no latency when i just play the synth, only when ableton has to send the midi out and then receive the audio in at the same time.
i have been fixing this by setting the track delay to -40 ms on the midi out track. this works fine however the track delay option becomes inactive when i switch ableton to EXTERNAL mode. i need to use this mode for the setup i have.
so, is there another way to deal with this latency?
