I did install it. Not sure if I enabled it! As I didn't have the iPhone at the time. On my way home so will find out when I get in.

Good God, I decided to try the app since this situation reminded me of it and the thing is trying to find my 4 Macs, 2 iPads, and 1 iPhone.

Found my iPhone and my iPad but not my computers. I assume because they are off or asleep.

Then I see for my iPad it shows the location of my apartment on a map and gives the option to send a message to it, remote lock it, or remote wipe it.

I hope this works for you! If so you should also be able to track it down. I've heard several stories of the police using it.

Actually that's my main worry!

That whoever has my ipad can just get my info through icloud!

Not sure if I need to delete my icloud account.

I would not wipe it just yet. You can lock the device remotely with a pin number and then track where the fucker lives.

Locate then destroy

Too late, I'd already wiped it

I had a code lock already on it (thankfully I'd only just put it on).

Losing the ipad was shite, but to be honest I was more concerned with the info that was on it.

I've changed my password for iCloud, but no-one was really sure what to do about removing the device from iCloud at the Apple store!

It got removed from the find my Ipad page which was recommended on Mac Rumours, but I'm not totally convinced that was the right thing to do.

Anyway F*ck it, I've changed all my passwords and disabled iCloud from my Iphone for the time being.

It was an original model so bring on version 3

I had my iphone4 stolen after owning it for a couple of months so I feel your pain bro.

I had my MacBook Pro stolen about a month ago. Unfortunately I couldn't track it, because I was waiting for the iCloud stuff to happen (which happened like a few days after it got stolen).

..Fortunately, my insurance covered it and I went from a 2.4 dual core i5 to a 2.2 GHz quad core i7 and a double as good GPU.

Thank god for insurances.
