Using Pitch Bend to play a melody

I am using EIC2 Strings, Viola and I want to slide (pitch bend), within the same note, from G#3 to F#2 using Clip Automation.
I read the default MIDI Pitch Bend is two semitones, does anyone know if that is that correct for the Viola?

I had some doubts as some Ableton instruments have 5 semitone pitch bend.
