adding loudness meter to master output

Post by hiblive » Mon Nov 21, 2011 12:59 am

I am trying to measure the loudness of a mix with the Audiocation Freeware VST Plug-In AC-R128. Putting this plug in in the master track in session view sees what is going into the master track but not what is coming out. if I adjust the master volume slicer the loudness reading on the plug in does not change. How can I place this plug to monitor the output of the master?

the plug in is at: https://www.audiocation.de/plugin

Route everything going into your master channel into a new send. Then route this send to your master channel and place your plugin there. Use your newly created send as your "master" volume.
