Turnado midi mapping not working in Ableton

Hey guys, sorry in advance if this question or the terminology I use is wrong or noobish. Just started making music with Ableton.

I just downloaded Turnado by Sugar Bytes and I'm having issues mapping it in Ableton. When it is in standalone I have no problem mapping the Turnado controls to my Arturia keyboard and MPD26. but when I apply it to a track in Ableton, and try and map it, it doesn't register anything on either midi controllers. It is a really fun VST and I want to be able to use it live, and this problem kinda limits it extremely. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for the help, I believe I have the latest version of Live (8.2). However, I think I have Turnado 1.0.1, and the latest is 1.1. I can't figure out how to update it though, any help?
