How do force the MIDI notes i play to be in a certain key?

I have messed about with the scale plugin but i'm unsure on how to use it.

If i want to set it so the notes 'only play a certain scale or key' do i just set the dial?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Start off with the default C minor or C major scale presets, then adjust the base knob to select the root note of the scale.
