Maybe you could give me a hand with an issue I'm having...
Here's my setup:
Macbook Pro OSX 10.6.3
Novation Nio 2|4
Novation launchpad
Novation nocturn
Behringer foot controller FCB 1010
Ableton Live Suite 8.1.4
Now here's the thing.
All works flawlessly, with Ableton Live on my regular DJ setup (meaning no FCB1010 Footcontroller). No conflicts, audio routing is fine, no latency.
The thing is, I can't get the Novation Nio to communicate via MIDI with the FCB1010. The logo should flash whenever there's MIDI in or out. Nothing happens. Latest drivers installed. I even installed a small utility called MidiMonitor, that monitors all the MIDI transfers in and out of the computer. Nothing goes through the Nio.
On the Audio Midi Settings (within my Mac), I tried to test the communication with the NIO via midi...no luck, no Novation logo flashing.
I tested the FCB1010 with my Tascam US-122, and all works fine.
Really out of ideas here...any other way to test for communication issues? Maybe the cable sockets on the Nio have something different than the Tascam ones?
