FREEZING COMPRESSED TRACKS

is there any way to freeze let's say a white noise track when it already has routed compression to another track...besides turning off the compressor obviously.

Move the compressor to another track for safe keeping, freeze track, move compressor back onto the frozen track.

Tadaaa! ;)
