Hello everyone,
I am new to Live 8. I am running Live 8.2.2 ? OSX 10.6.8 ? MBP i7 and Logic Pro 9. I can't seem to see my Apple Loops aif files from the Live library or file management. I can only see caf files. Can anyone point me to a tutorial on converting or relocating or whatever else I need to do.
Thanks in advance.

Can't find the aif files in Apple Loops only caf.
Re: Can't find the aif files in Apple Loops only caf.
The .caf files are your loops. It's a compressed format Apple started using a few years ago, Logic Garageband and Mainstage can all open them but Live and other DAWs cannot.
You need a file format converter like Max, it can batch convert your loops to AIFF or WAV.

Lol! Max is not Max/MSP, good on both companies for not suing, but confusing.rllear wrote:Thanks,

.caf is a pain now, and it's too bad it's not universally supported, super small file sizes!
