Brand New and a Serious Case of Stupid

Post by ogsimmons » Tue Dec 20, 2011 1:58 pm

:?: I'm brand new to Ableton Intro and have a new Novation Launchpad Ableton Live Controller. Being no instructions came with the Novation I'm totally at a loss of just how to get started. The simplest thing on how to interface it to the software I don't know how to do. I have watched some "Basics" tutorials but none have really covered the basics and I do mean the real "Step One", "Step Two" stuff. I have found videos that are titled Basics but all assume you know all the interface stuff.

Understand I'm BRAND NEW so don't beat me up for my question. There was a time all were in the same place I am. Help is requested.

You should start by watching the tutorials that come with the software in the Help section. There is one specifically dealing with midi controllers.

because the launchpad is an Ableton controller, setup is listed in the Live manual.
