I've been having this weird problem for a while. I don't now what version of Live 8 Suite introduced it, but I did not have this problem in the past (max 1 year ago).
The very first time I startup Live my external (that is non-Live) plugins won't show their window/GUI.
But after dragging in a new external plugin (in either an existing project which already contains external plugins or a new project), quitting Live (saving the project does not matter) and restarting it all is fine and everything works as it should.
It does not matter what the settings for the plugin windows are set to in Live's preferences; if set to automatically pop up when dragging in a new plugin, nothing happens even though the corresponding button in Live's GUI is yellow. Trying to get it to pop up manually also does nothing.
I tried this with my external plugins like Elysia, Brainworx and UAD-2 plugins and they all show the same behavior, only Live's own internal plugins work properly.
I did a full OS reinstall (Snow Leopard, 10.6.8 ) without using images etc. No change.
Is anyone familiar with this behavior and how to resolve it?
