EQ8 Midi mapping advice

Post by djtex » Fri Dec 30, 2011 9:50 pm

I hope someone can help me, I'm using thenew Lemur for iPad software and am pretty happy with it so far. However, one thing I would like to be able to do but can't work out how bets to do it is this....

I have created a multi-slider that controls an EQ8 one slider for each band, nice and simple. However, I want to add a switch that automaticallyt resets each value for each EQ band back to 0db. However, you obviously can't map more than one MIDI cc value to a control. So does anyone have any ideas? I don't have Max 4 Live, and it's not really an option as I haven't a clue how to use it.

Cheers in advance :)

map a button on the midi controller ...to send the same cc as the mapped 'gain' knob...
have it send a value of "64" (middle value) for that cc..

another option would be to map a button to the band on/off button as a toggle..

Thanks for that, that kind of works for one knob. Essentially what I have done is create an 8 bar multi fader that controls the volume of the 8 bands independently of each other. I want to be able to set them all back to zero with one button, just can't figure it out.

in that case..you can use m4l to send a sequence of midi ccs... when 1 button is pressed..
or you can trigger a dummy clip to send several cccs at once..

also ...if you don't already know about 'clyphx'..
you should get yourself familiar with it..
