I have a drum rack and I want to put a compressor on kick/snare/hats but not everything on the kit, and I don't want to have heaps of channels to stare at in session view, or group them and have groups to look at.
Yay, you can send return inside the drum rack, I'll just put a compressor in there and send it pre fader, thanks ableton, you're wonderful.
Oh no, the send isn't pre fader, it's post only, so I can't turn down the chain volume for the instrument and use my signal 100 percent wet thru the compressor, or mix them and do cool new york drum compressing style. That one small feature would have been great.
Surely I can use AUDIO TO, but no, no commands available - unless it's a multi, then I can, Huh?
SO to get this to work, all instruments set up for that must be a multi, with one sound in it?
Am I missing something here ?
