songs not loading fully from itunes

I've tried loading and reloading some songs from my itunes library by clicking and dragging it in, but they only load the first four or so bars of the actual track, not the whole thing. I thought the file would be corrupt but it plays through fully in itunes. Would anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
