so, i want to use my launchpad on either user1 or 2 as a bank of momentary switches so i can press to turn on beat-repeat/delay/whatever and when i release it will turn off. user1 seems to send normal midinotes with on and off on release but once i map it to an effect this functionality is lost.
anyone do this?
i want to use the launchpad for momentary effects

Www.isotonikstudios,com/Oktopad have a look at the manual, you'll like Scene three, does exactly what you want...

hi..i'm quite new to the launchpad, just got mine yeatsreday
anyway you can do this easily with automap
to switch from live control surface to automap you just have to press user1,user2 and down arrow at the same time
then while in the automap mode you just assign a button to a cc, and set it to momentary mode, under the "range" tab
