MIDI Clock only sent when Live is playing?

MIDI Clock only sent when Live is playing?

I just got a Roland VariOS and while I've managed to MIDI sync it to Live, I've noticed that it only receives a MIDI clock when Live is playing which is really annoying. My MPK25 is the same way.

Is there any way to run the MIDI clock at all times without having to hit "play" every time?

When I was messing with the arpeggiator and beat repeat on my MPK49 a while ago I found out the same thing. It's annoying.

I was looking for same thing and even asked on "Answers" section
