Why can't I listen to the middle of unwarped audio clips?

Why doesn't the little playback icon show up when I hover down in the clip view for an unwarped audio clip? What's the deal? I can only start the clip at the beginning of the clip start marker?

I have just recognized the same issue when playing around with audio clips a bit. It seems to me that this only works when warping is activated.

exactly, it doesn't work and this sucks totally. Only workaround is to drag the transport counter ahead, so it scrubs forward..

You also can't loop unwarped clips. You can somehow workaround with follow actions, but you can not set a loop brace.


I can't understand why they did not fix this behaviour 3 versions ago.
