Can't Authorize the Ableton 8 Suite upgraded version

So guy's just like the title say's I can't authorize my ableton suite 8 upgrade version with the serial # they gave me since its only a upgrade serial # I contacted ableton for tech support & they told me I need the full live 8 version serial # in order to add the suite 8 upgrade version. They told me return it and get the full version yes i can do that maybe but I also see some people buying the seperate live 8 version and adding the upgrade suite 8 version to it its all authorization reason's I see... I just want some of your guy's helpful info if anyone has had the similar problem & what is the best thing to do in this case. Any helpful info appreciated thanks

Not sure I follow. If you legally own a license for Live, do the upgrade. If not, purchase the full version, legally.

yes well i purchased the ableton suite 8 upgraded version legally, but I only recieved the upgraded version serial # yeah I think I have to purchase the Live 8 license & full version than right?

The upgrade version is to upgrade from another version... You need to first have a registered version to upgrade from tho.

Yes I finally realized that I need to get the full version in order to authorize.... yeah today i sent the software back to the company to get the refund and re purchase the full version.... "palms head" lesson learned for me
