Weird: I´ve got a very fast Mac with more than enough ram...but in live - the audio samples (the grafic display of the curces) build up in snail-speed. Any Ideas? :( 8O :(

Hi amon-m,

can you explain a bit more detailed what exactly you do and where do you think it behaves slow?

regards,
Alex

Hi - when i open a live-song with imported "aiffs" etc. every aiffs grafic builds up very slow - (in the arrangement view). it takes about a minute if every imported aiff (im make the songs in reason and export the masterchannel and a clickchannel into live) here i record the vocals and the live.drums (td 20, bfd)....recording is no problem...but this building up is very curious...a friend of me usees live to...with a much more slower computer....but everything is there if you open the song....very strange...

when you drop an audio file in Live for the first time, Live has to write an .asd file. if your audio file is a real large one, it will take some time. you can play/hear the clip though, even when it's still 'drawing the wave'.

Hi amon-m,

like borg already wrote if an audio file is inserted into Live for the first time it creates the corresponding .asd file which can take some time if the file is large.
So what are the sizes of these aiff files?

Alex
