am trying to integrate my hardware synth - access virus KC into my setup and to date have been able to get sounds into Ableton and controlled via MIDI in/out as usual - at mixing stage though I cant control the volume in Ableton - either on the MIDI channel feeding the Virus or via the Ext Instrument routing utility - the Gain control on the Ext Instrument interface doesnt seem to do anything...
Can anyone advise on the best way to integrate a hardware synth so it plays audio back into the session or arrangement views so I can lock down the volume levels etc and forget about the hardware patches/hardware volume controls etc
