a more streamlined approach to renaming clips

Post by jackmazzotti » Sun Mar 13, 2005 11:50 pm

Hello,

I really love live but I must say that the renaming of clips has me fairly frustrated. When I rename a clip in the clip view why isn't that good enough for live? Instead I have to search around in the file browser and rename it there. This seems like a big time waster to me. I am sure there is a reason for doing it this way but I can't imagine what it is. A better to me would be renaming in the clip view. I think this would be much better especially when you are recording lots of clips really fast.

thanks,
Jack

That only renames the *clip* not the *file* as you can have multiple clips per file...

Rename clip in clip view....drag to arrange....consolidate (ctrl+J on pc)...drag back to clip.

an other point:
you should be able to rename clips like the scenes... you press "TAB" and the cursor moves to the next clip!
this is possible on the scenes and tracks... and it definately should be possible with tracks!
