pitch bend automation
pitch bend automation
hello,
anyone else find that drawing pitch bends in the envelopes editor is really imprecise? maybe its just my mouse but its really hard to drag to a specific number, and im not sure even how the numbers offered for breakpoint locations (from -8192 to 8191?) correspond to actual musical intervals. i would like to be able to draw a bend up or down to a specific interval, or drag a breakpoint back to 0 with precision, to reset the pitch. how do you guys deal with this issue? is there a more precise way that im missing?
thanks!

Re: pitch bend automation
If you slightly distance youself from the screen you can get 'curved' automation.
Re: pitch bend automation
Snap to zero would be handy. Pitch bend range is determined by a parameter on most synths... So the envelope has to display the pitch bend value relative to that range.. i suppose. I just determine what the pitch bend range is and visually estimate what a given interval would look like. Because softsynths never go out of tune I will know pretty quickly if I have got something wrong.
