ps3 controller
hey im looking to see if someone can help me out. i got my ps3 controller hooked into ableton using ( http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/Projec ... Controller ) and ableton reads the information fine but i dont know how to map the sounds to the max for live ( http://maxforlive.com/library/index.php ... mit=Search ) ps3 preset. in other words how can i group the ps3 preset with a drum rack and map them. any help would do thanks.
Re: ps3 controller
I haven't used any of the links above but here's a map for PS3 (sixaxis) controller I have made some time ago. It is pretty straightforward which functions should be assigned to knobs and which ones to buttons, if you own m4l you could set up something yourself.
I ended up not using the controller too much because often the USB connection would discard from itself, but that might have to do with the one item I had in my hands.

Re: ps3 controller
I have no PS3 controller anymore I'm afraid
...but make sure your hi object is properly set up (in my example a message box shows what I needed to select on my mac, it might be different on another device, this is something you'll see if the controller is connected and you use hi's helpfile, for instance)
Once that done, data should be showing and changing in all message boxes, all you need to do is sort out what does what and adapt the min/max values to what dials mostly need (0-127)
