only envelope clips

I'm very glad to meet you.
I have one suggestion about a new kind of clip.
I work for performs on theatre but i think it can interest another users.
it would be wonderfull if you could create a new kind of clips witch we could put on an audio track.
Sorry for my english but i'll try to explain my idea:
when i'm launching an audio clip i can set enveloppe automation on it.
but if i want to change an event without stopping this clip by a new one is very hard.
the concept would be:
charging a new clip under the audio clip (on the same track).
this clip could have a transparent aspect and don't affect the playing of de previous.
In this way, we could modify enveloppe of parameters like volume or pluging setting without stopping the playing.
i'd love it.
