So... Who's using Z3ta?

Post by Linear Phase » Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:30 am

I just bought Z3ta 2.1 over the weekend... This is my first experience with Z3ta, as I never got a chance to view or use the 1.xx version. I must say, all the myth, and mythology behind the synth, is really true. This synth gets crazy FAT, and has wicked DisTORTIOn.. Already one of my favs, and totally a software classic...

It's neat and I like how it sounds, but it wound up crashing all the time when I tried to use it with anything but Sonar :/

See... Now I can totally believe that! Rapture has been crashing on my new system since friday.. I was on the phone with cakewalk friday, yesterday, and today, and I have to call them back tomorrow. I am really upset... I have spent so much time learning Rapture, and its a mega synth! but... the latest 1.2.2 wont even install on my computer, and the 1.2.1 is giving Renoise a major hickup.

And everything is x64.. and I know.. its going to take cakewalk a while to sort this. but, least to say, "great news, I bet we are going to see Rapture 1.3" Cause I kinda need Rapture working flawlessly, or at least, reliably like a toyota, on my system.

btw, Z3ta is steady as a rock over here, and... I'm not using sonar. Go figure..

:D

Ps.. Cakewalk support has been really helpful. They really care, and they told me to give them a call tomorrow, if I was still having trouble. Which I am, so I'll be calling

I still use 1.5 or whatever the latest 1. release was, I bought it when it was on sale over a year ago.

I use it, but I bounce it when I'm happy with what I have. I've written some neat go-to patches on it.

It does crash for me if I have the GUI up onscreen and i hit CTRL.

+1 it´s a really great synth!

Zeta 1.0/5 was a bit of a bitch sometimes, zeta 2 runs rock solid on my system

I use Zeta 2 and absolutely love it. Its a very intuative synth and its very easy to dial in sounds. I also used the original Zeta which was also great.
