Lets face it: Ableton can get messy!
But a feature from another major DAW lets you make tracks your not currently editing "invisible". Meaning, they still play, you just dont have to look at them.
Great for visual real estate.
I often bounce down certain things to a stereo track, just to achieve this ease on the eyeballs.
