how bout a psychoacoustic EQ?

NyquistEQ does this. It's free from smartelectronix. It has a "compensation" switch for each band that makes sure the volume coming out is the same as the volume coming in.
I'd really like to see a gain compensation switch on EQ four. It would really help people (myself included) to keep their gain staging under control which we all know is a "good thing".
