Switching to mono during playback?

I find the quality of my audio at random points in a song, switching to a mono sound I believe? Confused... need some help.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The audio quality does "what" at random points in a song? Does the quality drop? Can you describe what you are hearing? Switching to mono does "what"? Does it make it sound better?
