User 1 (Launchpad)

First off, my apologizes if this isn't the appropriate place to post this!

I posted this over in Novation's forums, but the looks of it that websites forums are dead.

Hopefully I can get some help here. So here is my problem:

Okay, I had it working when I first had it. Apparently I changed some settings of some sort on Ableton and caused it to not output audio from the Launchpad through my computers speakers.

I've got all the stuff downloaded that came on the disc inside. So I got the (Driver/Ableton Launchpad Edition) I've already went through the basics of going to the Preferences and set it up. Now instead of it saying under "Input/Output" it says "2-Launchpad" I don't know if anyone has encountered this error before, but any help is appreciated. Now I get to exactly what happens when I plug in the launchpad to my laptop.

When I plug it up to my computer and launch Ableton it'll light up like normal. But when I load a pre-set instrument on Ableton and press "User 1" then press one of the pads no sound outputs (It use to do so, when I first started it. I've had it for only 2 days. So just until late tonight it stopped outputting.)

I don't know if this is exactly enough info for you to know exactly where I'm getting at with this question. Please tell me if I need to rephrase it for better understanding. Thank You!

Have you armed the track you have your instrument on and set the I/O on this track to receive midi from the launchpad...

Does the Midi In icon flash at the top right of the screen when you press buttons in user 1 mode...

I'm sorry to hear of the problems you have been experiencing and that you didn't receive a response on our user forums.

I would be useful if we could take a look at your configuration of Ableton. Please could you contact technical support using the contact form on the Novation Answerbase.

It is normal for the Launchpad ports to be labelled '2-Launchpad' if you connect the Launchpad to a different USB port.

I actually figured it out already! In fact about 5 minutes after I made this thread. haha
