Today i was working in a project, very happy with it on live suite 8.3 osx 10.6.8 with an rme fireface (all fully updated, from system to drivers) and everything was fine until live started to draw vst GUIs a bit lower. I thought it was my mac of video card. All VST respose the same way.
As i was working for several hours non stop (without even closing my live set) i thought that maybe a program restart could fix it. But when i close live, it crashes.
After i re-opened it, splash windows showed version 8.3.1, updated well and blabla...
My point is that with Auto Update enable, live doesn't work well after download the update and set it ready to install.
Somebody else experienced it ?? or its just me ??

Similar problem. Left Live open (but minimized) for an hour or so while doing other things. Came back and got a warning that I didn't eject a drive properly when nothing was ejected. I run my Live library from an external firewire 800 drive.
20 minutes later Live suddenly decided not to recognize my APC40, nor my M-Audio Ozone. I closed Live, rebooted my mac, and then all was right with the world.
Although Live didn't crash, I am leery of leaving automatic updates on. Especially when I have a gig this weekend!
