Duplicate a track without duplicating the regions/clips

Post by spoot088 » Sun Jul 01, 2012 11:01 pm

Is there a way to delete a track (in session mode) such that it copies the track with all the plugins and settings but such that it does not copy the recorded regions.

very often i wish to duplicate a certain sound and tweak it just a bit for another part. I wish to not have to delete all the midi regions everytime I do this.

There is no way to do what you are describing w/o then deleting clips. Though, you can group all of the devices together and save the Rack as a preset, or copy it to a new track.
