ERROR MESSAGES IN LIVE 4

Post by P.DIDDY » Tue Mar 29, 2005 3:02 pm

I have been running Ableton 4 on my laptop for a couple of months now without any problems, until last week when I got an error message when loading saying 'ableton could not find audio device m-audio fw1814. Ableton finished loading and everything appearded to be ok, I could load a set, play back audio and midi, record audio and midi but when I clicked on preferences to check my soundcard setup I just got an error message saying 'an error has occured please save your work and re-start the application' which I did but it made no difference. I have updated to 4.1.1 I have also de-installed and re-installed Ableton with and without the update but I just keep getting these two error messages. Can anyone help or has anyone had a similar problem. I have also been using cubase sx1 on my laptop with with the same m-audio fw1814 for the last 12 months with no probs whatsoever.
