Will my computer benefit from running Ableton 64 bit?

Hi, I just bought a macbook pro 13 inch 2.9 ghz with 8 gb of memory but I am pretty sure it is a 32-bit machine. Does this mean that even running the new 64 bit ableton that I will only be able to use 4 gb of memory on my computer rendering the extra 4 gb basically useless?

If you just bought one, was it new or 2nd hand? I'm pretty sure the new machines are 64 bit - my 2011 MBP is. I'm psyched for the upgrade of Ableton!

I just bought one. It is the new mid-2012 MBP 13" 2.9 ghz

You are right, I checked on apples website and i7 is a 64 bit processor. Thanks for the help.
