How to midi control reaktor vst fx

Post by mag38 » Mon Dec 02, 2002 8:03 pm

is it possible to controll a reaktor vst(i) plugIn in Live via midi controller ?
How does this work ?

If I press "edit", Reaktor recognizes no midi controller automatically,
if I press the ">" button, I get a controller list from cc 63 to cc 127, but no recognized midi controllers

Try this - Assign MIDI CC's (64-127) to ensemble controls in Reaktor using MidiLearn, save the ensemble. Use the controllers in live to automate.

Just an idea, I haven't tried it myself... too busy in osX. <grin>

You can do it. Just make sure that each knob on your reaktor mod has the remote control option checked and a CC value assigned. If you build your own reaktor mods the CC values are all usually set at 1 and not midi remote by default so you have to enable everything.

Now if you want to record the knob movements in live's arranger you have to make sure the 'panel to remote' is activated in each reaktor intrument panel so you have a signal loop.

Hope this helps.
