Relative waveform size

I'd like to see that the waveform of the clip (mp3 track, whatever) is being drawn dynamicly based on the peak clip level...
The tunes are so loud and compressed to the death last years that most of the tracks are being drawn as 3 black rectangles because they are sooo loud and is nearly impossible to get an clear and understandable overview of the whole track...
Could you please make it some way better?
