I found annoying that sometimes if i drag a bunch of wavs files to the session view and one file is for some reason wrong, ableton doesn,t import any file.
Then i have to find which wav is the wrong, deselect and import again.Too time consuming, why no import the good ones and discard the wrong ones?
Thanks!
Drag and drop wav files no matter what
Re: Drag and drop wav files no matter what
How about an auto convert upon import feature. This would be awesome for audio, as well as video.
Ive done many projects with video and I always have a hard time getting my video into a .mov file. So I usually end up giving up on editing the audio to the video all from within ableton. I wish this was easier.
When it comes to audio, I actually ran into a problem yeterday where I had some samples in WMA format! I know, wtf am I doing with WMA. I was actually teaching my GF how to make loops. To get around the mini dilemma, I imported the WMA into itunes, then itunes asks if you want to convert it, (after changing some settings in the preferences to convert to .WAV files on import), I click convert, as soon as its done, I drug the files to ableton.
A little lame if you ask me. I have owned ableton for almost 10 years now. And trust me I love it, but there is always room for improvement.
In the end..... I %1,000 agree with the request.
