Hi everyone,
On my live performance I use the Bitstream3x for controlling 16 Live tracks, 8 of them through midi channel 1 and the other 8 via channel 2. Each 8 tracks correspond to one song separated in kick, synths, fx... etc.
Thing is, switching between those 2 channels seem a common task, but in the middle of a performance becomes quite critical because it's very easy to make a mistake and assign another midi channel. Buttons on Bitstream are quite small...
So, I've been thinking about it and maybe I could make a max4live device to sort it out. I'd have the same midi mappings and Bitstream would use the same midi channel. Then the device eventually routes incoming midi data to each channel via a switch button. In this way I avoid touching any button on the Bitstream to this task.
Final step would be assigning such button from the max4live device to Touchosc or Lemur on the iPad, that's would be perfect!
Hope I explain it well, any clue about this is possible?
Thanks
