Hi, I'm wondering if there's any way to internally route MIDI, say for example if I want to switch an effect on/off within a clip? I know regular automation doesn't work which is frustrating, but surely there's some way of sending an MIDI message internally? It would help a lot as it'd allow me to not have to prerender clips which can cause a lot of issues(trails with delays etc.).
I can't seem to find any way to map MIDI internally though.
Using MIDI in clips to control VSTs?

Found a way of doing it. Now if only I could find a way to do an LFO without needing to use MAX.
Can anyone recommend a VST for this?

Actually, I can't figure out how to map with that at all. This is so frustrating. These are basic features on a workstation synth, why doesn't Live have them? Not only that it causes a feedback error when I try to use it in the same application.

Do you know about Clip Envelopes? VST Config to see Device Parameters (click little triangle next to Device Enable button)? That is likely the easiest way....
What VST? Some of them have pre-assigned CC values for certain parameters like hardware, others you can just MIDI map in Live. Or, you just do it via the clip envelopes.
