Help with re-wire

Post by Use » Tue Dec 03, 2002 11:05 am

i just updated to 1.5.2 and i recently learned how to impliment slaves(reason/rebirth) with live..my friend was just going nuts with his, using rebirth thru re-wire. well i get home and install rebirth..and open live..and i get a window that pops up and says "the installed version of re-wire is too old for this implimentation, no rewire slaves will be available"...now i never installed "re-wire" previously...i think it just came woven into my Live installation, im not really sure..but can someone plz point me in the right direction to update my Re-wire, so i can jam...

Think ReBirth standalone is Rewire 1.0 enabled, Live is 2.0 Rewire enabled and not backwards compatible apparently (experienced this error message myself when having a look at Rebirth)

I think this problem comes if Live is installed before Rebirth - the Rebirth installation overwrites the newer version of Rewire with an old one. Try uninstalling both and then install Rebirth first. Rebirth rewired into Live works fine for me on Windows 98.
