Stop the APC 40 from auto focusing on clip that you play....
I have an APC40 and annoyingly when I launch a new clip the focus automatically changes to that track. Which means that if im 'effecting' a current track I loose focus on the device control. Is there a way to launch a scene and stop ableton from switching focus?

Hi,
Goto Live's preferences>'record-warp-launch' tab>disable 'select on launch'.

I have just the opposite problem, I have been trying to get the APC40 to refocus its matrix when I launch a scene change outside the matrix focus area, and haven't been able to get this to work. Is it just the track that refocuses or is it the whole matrix area?

It seems like it should be straight forward for the apc 40's matrix area to follow scene changes outside the matrix. I don't know why it is necessary to use the arrow buttons to do this.

With M4L it certainly is, in fact my Isotonik LE device on max4live.com allows you to press and hold the track select button to re-focus the redbox on the playing clip in a track regardless of it's location within your set...Muzik 4 Machines wrote:that is not possible without m4l (and even then, i'm not sure it is), i really want that too cause sometimes i scroll with the mouse to select a scenerpacker wrote:I have just the opposite problem, I have been trying to get the APC40 to refocus its matrix when I launch a scene change outside the matrix focus area, and haven't been able to get this to work.
